"We will not stop! We will take up our shovels and our pick axes and we will use them against you. ... Believe that!"

     That horrendous threat of violence came from a pro-Amnesty demonstrator at the Arizona State Capitol.

     You can watch the shocking video here, and after you view it, ask yourself why there was no coverage of this video on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN or even FOX News.

     Do you believe that if a person who supports secure borders and legal immigration (or heaven forbid... a TEA Party supporter) had made such a comment, you would have seen the video plastered across your television screen 24-7?

     Of course, the threats uttered by the woman in this video are not isolated incidents. Pro-Amnesty demonstrators committed heinous acts of violence at many of these rallies... smashing windows... assaulting patriotic Americans... and, of course, the Lame Stream Media ignored those stories.

     According to the Washington Times: "Yet, from the very first demonstration in Phoenix when the bill was signed on April 23, liberal protests have been marked by violence and arrests. In Chicago last week, the local Fox station reported that 'police clashed with demonstrators' and protesters blocked vehicles; 24 were arrested. A Sunday march in Santa Cruz, Calif., damaged 18 businesses, with repair costs reaching an estimated 100,000. In San Francisco, three people were beaten by protesters, with two arrested. During a pro-illegal-immigration protest outside the White House on Saturday, 35 were arrested. The list goes on."

     And yet, in spite of these heinous acts of violence, at this very moment, legislators on both sides of the aisle are planning to shove an Amnesty bill down the throats of the American people and it is up to patriotic Americans like us to make sure that they do no such thing.

A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words.
     They say a picture is worth a thousand words. We found the sign on the right posted on the Internet... it was allegedly taken at an Arizona pro-Amnesty demonstration.

     Immediately after the publication of the photo, a firestorm erupted on the Internet... some posters claimed the image was 'photo-shopped.' Others claimed that the holder of the sign was simply being sarcastic. Others claimed that the holder of the sign was an 'infiltrator' to this pro-Amnesty rally.

     Is the photo authentic? Who knows? But what we do know is that it pretty much sums up what this fight against Amnesty for illegal aliens is all about... a feeling that America owes something to those who have violated our laws by sneaking across our borders illegally.

     We also know that when facing a plague of murders, kidnappings and criminal mayhem, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer did what Barack Hussein Obama has refused to do. She signed a simple, no-nonsense bill into law that would help secure Arizona's southern border.

     But then, within hours... 'The President Of All Those Illegally In The United States,' Barack Hussein Obama, sprang into action. Calling the new law "misguided" and "irresponsible," he immediately signaled his intentions to bring the full weight of federal government to bear to stop Arizona from protecting its people from criminal lawlessness, murders and kidnappings.

     Why? In a futile attempt to explain his horrendous disdain for the people of Arizona (and the American people in general), he proceeded to tell falsehoods and race-bait. With the help of fifth-columnists in the Lame Stream Media, the Obama Administration attempted to sell the American people a phony bill of goods and claimed the Arizona law would lead to "profiling."

     It wasn't true. In fact, the Arizona law specifically PROHIBITS "profiling" and moreover, many sections of the Arizona law are actually taken from existing federal law... which, unfortunately, is NOT being enforced.

     And now, as you read this urgent appeal, Barack Hussein Obama and extreme leftists in Congress are scurrying to push amnesty for illegal aliens... just in case any other states get the idea that they can enact laws to secure the border.

     In our humble opinion, it's Barack Obama and the proponents of amnesty on Capitol Hill who are "misguided" and "irresponsible" ... and needless to say; we're not about to let them shove amnesty down our throats.

Race-Baiting And Falsehoods....
     Yes, that's a strong accusation to make, but look at the following statement and judge for yourself.

     Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in Iowa, Obama told the following whopper: "You can imagine if you are a Hispanic American in Arizona, your great grandparents may have been there before Arizona was even a state. Now suddenly if you don't have your papers and you take your kid out for ice cream and you're going to be harassed, that's not the right way to go."

     That's an extremely deceptive and misleading statement. As previously stated, the Arizona law specifically PROHIBITS "profiling." Under the Arizona law, a law enforcement officer simply CANNOT stop or detain a person randomly... without cause... (or because that person "looks Hispanic").

     If, on the other hand, a law enforcement officer stops a person for some legitimate reason... for example... running a red light... or breezing past a stop sign... the officer then has some latitude to inquire or check the person's status.

     And why is that important? Here's a real-life tragedy that might put the Arizona law in perspective, courtesy of the Heritage Foundation:

"Mohammad Atta, one of the 9/11 hijackers, was pulled over in a traffic stop two days before the 9/11 attacks. If the officer had inquired about Atta, he might have discovered that Atta was in the country illegally and might have prevented his participation in the attacks."

     That's possibly why Arizona state senator Russell Pearce said that those who are against the new Arizona law are... in actuality... "against law enforcement, our citizens and the rule of law."

     The Arizona legislation will simply remove the "political handcuffs" from police... nothing more... nothing less... and Barack Obama knows it.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform Is Always A Code Phrase For Amnesty.
     The people of Arizona may have done all of us a huge favor. The urgent need to secure our borders is, once again, a topic of discussion... but that also means that the left is now frantic. Liberals now have an urgent need to shove amnesty down the throats of the American people.

     Barack Hussein Obama and liberals on Capitol Hill know that they must move quickly... if they don't, more states will emulate Arizona, and ruin their plans. They're ready for a fight... they will move quickly... and that means that we must move quickly too.

     You're probably already hearing a lot of talk about "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" ... and whenever you hear that term, know that "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" is ALWAYS nothing more than a code phrase... in reality, it ALWAYS means Amnesty for Everyone.

     Also know that we've been down this road before. In 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), also known as the Simpson-Mazzoli Act.

     Simpson-Mazolli was perhaps our nation's first major attempt at so-called "Comprehensive Immigration Reform." It made provisions for strict immigration enforcement measures but also granted amnesty to approximately 3 million illegal aliens.

     Of course, you already know what happened next. The strict immigration enforcement measures never really materialized, but the passage of Simpson- Mazolli sent an unmistakable message to those who wanted to enter the United States illegally.

     Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer perhaps described the dynamic best: "In the absence of a closed border, amnesty is a sign at the border to anyone who wants to enter illegally as a way to say come on in, try again and again and again. If you get in, hide. Ultimately, in a decade or so, there's going to be amnesty...."

     After the passage of Simpson-Mazolli, the floodgates eventually opened... as people who were inclined to cross our border illegally, did so in ever increasing numbers, under the assumption that another amnesty would be waiting in the wings at some point in the foreseeable future... and today, there are an estimated 12 million illegal aliens presently in the United States.

     And therein lies the problem with amnesty. If we reward up to 12 million people, who violated our laws and crossed the border illegally, with legal status, it will only encourage greater numbers of people... Robert Rector with the Heritage Foundation once put the number at 40 million... to do the same.

     Considering our present economic woes... heavy unemployment... unsustainable debt... do you believe our system can handle such a tidal wave?

Since When Does Barack Obama Have A Problem With Profiling?
     Didn't Barack Hussein Obama's Department of Homeland Security issue a report, not too long ago, instructing law enforcement officers to PROFILE folks like us... you know... veterans, pro-lifers... conservatives... people opposed to amnesty?

     Does Barack Hussein Obama actually believe that it's okay to "profile" patriotic law-abiding Americans and then falsely accuse others of "profiling" to crush legitimate attempts to actually enforce our laws?

     We've stated for some time now that Barack Hussein Obama is a man who hates his own country... he hates patriotic Americans... he hates those "bitter" people who "cling to guns or religion" ... his hypocrisy and inconsistency in this regard should remove all doubt.

     No one doubts that many of those who have violated our laws, and come into the United States illegally, are otherwise decent and hard-working people simply looking for a better life... but it is also an indisputable and alarming fact that variations of the Atta story, mentioned above, are all too common.

     And Arizona has become a war-zone. In addition to those coming across the border (illegally) in search of a better life, there are an alarming number of criminals, cartels, kidnappers and street-gangs.

     That's no exaggeration. Actually, things are getting bad across the USA... at this very moment, according to the DEA, major cartels are operating openly in at least 195 cities and town in the United States... from sea to shining sea.

     According to the Bureau of Justice, 29 percent of the inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

     And major cities are getting hit the hardest. Heather MacDonald, in an article titled, Illegal Alien Crime Wave, for City-Journal said that 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide in the City of Los Angeles and as many as two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants are for illegal aliens.

     Perhaps that's why, when Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed the new law, she plainly stated: "We cannot sacrifice our safety to the murderous greed of... cartels. We cannot stand idly by as drop houses, kidnappings and violence compromise our quality of life. We cannot delay while the destruction happening south of our international border creeps its way north."

Holder Deflects Questions from Issa on Sestak Job Claim

California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa today aggressively questioned Attorney General Eric Holder over Rep. Joe Sestak's suggestion that he was offered a high-ranking Obama administration job in exchange for dropping his Pennsylvania Democratic primary challenge against Sen. Arlen Specter. Issa has called for a special prosecutor to investigate Sestak's claim. At a Justice Department Oversight committee hearing today, he pressed Holder on why allegations Issa cast as "bribery of public officials," among other violations, were not being investigated by the Justice Department. Issa complained that no witnesses have been questioned and expressed consternation that the White House has only addressed the matter through press secretary Robert Gibbs, who has said that any conversations between the White House and Sestak were "not problematic." Holder told Issa that the appointment of a special prosecutor is something that is "done on a case-by-case basis," prompting Issa to interrupt and ask how this situation did not fall into that category. Holder said "there are regulations that are in place and there are requirements that have to be met before a special prosecutor" can be appointed, noting that the matter calls to the Department's public integrity section. He declined to specifically discuss Sestak's charges, telling Issa, "I don't talk about any matter that might come into the purview of the Department of Justice."

Appearing before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, Mr Armstrong said that the Obama administration plan to end the Constellation program and cut other space efforts appeared to be made without input from NASA or the president's science adviser. "I have yet to find a person in NASA, the Defense Department, the Air Force, the National Academies, industry, or academia that had any knowledge of the plan prior to its announcement," the Apollo 11 commander told the committee. "A plan that was invisible to so many was likely contrived by a very small group in secret who persuaded the president that this was a unique opportunity to put his stamp on a new and innovative program." Mr Armstrong, the first to set foot on the lunar surface in his 1969 mission, said the United States "has invested substantially for more than half a century to acquire a position of leadership in space" but that "to maintain a leadership position requires steadfast determination and a continuing investment in the future." He added, "If the leadership we have acquired through our investment is allowed simply to fade away, other nations will surely step in where we have faltered. I do not believe that this would be in our best interests."

Kagan Was 'Not Sympathetic' as Law Clerk to Gun-Rights Argument

Elena Kagan said as a U.S. Supreme Court law clerk in 1987 that she was "not sympathetic" toward a man who contended that his constitutional rights were violated when he was convicted for carrying an unlicensed pistol. Kagan, whom President Barack Obama nominated to the high court this week, made the comment to Justice Thurgood Marshall, urging him in a one-paragraph memo to vote against hearing the District of Columbia man's appeal. The man's "sole contention is that the District of Columbia's firearms statutes violate his constitutional right to 'keep and bear arms,'" Kagan wrote. "I'm not sympathetic." Kagan, currently the U.S. solicitor general, has made few public remarks about the Constitution's Second Amendment. The Supreme Court in 2008 ruled, in a case that overturned the District of Columbia's handgun ban, that the Constitution protects individual gun rights.

The notion that the government can, in effect, execute one of its own citizens far from a combat zone, with no judicial process and based on secret intelligence, makes some legal authorities deeply uneasy. To eavesdrop on the terrorism suspect who was added to the target list, the American-born radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who is hiding in Yemen, intelligence agencies would have to get a court warrant. But designating him for death, as C.I.A. officials did early this year with the National Security Council's approval, required no judicial review. "Congress has protected Awlaki's cellphone calls," said Vicki Divoll, a former C.I.A. lawyer who now teaches at the United States Naval Academy. "But it has not provided any protections for his life. That makes no sense." Administration officials take the view that no legal or constitutional rights can protect Mr. Awlaki, a charismatic preacher who has said it is a religious duty to attack the United States and who the C.I.A. believes is actively plotting violence. The attempted bombing of Times Square on May 1 is the latest of more than a dozen terrorist plots in the West that investigators believe were inspired in part by Mr. Awlaki's rhetoric.

Despite the harsh criticism of the possible New York City anti-terror cuts, President Barack Obama walked straight into the lion's den on Thursday. He met with NYPD officers whose budgets may be slashed, then took cash from the Wall Street fat cats he's very publicly ripped apart. The irony is hard to ignore – President Obama schmoozing with New York's Finest, thanking them for their handling of the Times Square bomb scare, just one day after the White House said it may be slashing the city's terror-fighting fund. On Thursday, President Obama promised federal support. "And we want to make sure that we continue to work with you to get the resources that are needed for you to continue to be effective," Obama told the NYPD. "He's talking out of both sides of his mouth," one New Yorker said. Critics said the timing of Obama's Big Apple tour could not be worse. "New York is a tough town," Obama said.

The United States posted an $82.69 billion deficit in April, nearly four times the $20.91 billion shortfall registered in April 2009 and the largest on record for that month, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday. It was more than twice the $40-billion deficit that Wall Street economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast and was striking since April marks the filing deadline for individual income taxes that are the main source of government revenue. Department officials said that in prior years, there was a surplus during April in 43 out of the past 56 years. The government has now posted 19 consecutive monthly budget deficits, the longest string of shortfalls on record. For the first seven months of fiscal 2010, which ends September 30, the cumulative budget deficit totals $799.68 billion, down slightly from $802.3 billion in the comparable period of fiscal 2009. Outlays during April rose to $327.96 billion from $218.75 billion in March and were up from $287.11 billion in April 2009. It was a record level of outlays for an April.

Who Will Bail Out America?

Social Security, Medicare and the retirement of the baby boom generation wasn't enough of a burden for the American taxpayer. We will now be paying as well for the generous pensions of Greek bureaucrats retiring in the warm Mediterranean sun at age 55, thanks to the foresighted leadership of our very own international statesman, Barack Obama. Just last year President Obama proposed, and his overwhelmingly Democrat Congress approved, an additional $100 billion line of credit from the USA to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). On Sunday, the IMF approved a contribution of $40 billion to the Greek bailout, with America voting yes for yet another raid on its own taxpayers. But this is only the beginning. What the trillion dollar Euro bailout fund has done is to create the perverse incentives of Too Big to Fail for fiscally irresponsible Eurostates. Do those literally murderous Greek rioters look ready to accede to austerity budgets with massive tax increases and massive benefit cuts? Political leaders in the Mediterranean states in particular, faced with short-term financial and political pressures, will be too tempted to put off the pain a little longer, hoping that EU bailouts will save them in the end. Indeed, voters in Spain, Italy, Portugal, and elsewhere may well think they should get their share of those bailout funds too, voting out leaders who try to be responsible, and voting in the worst demagogues trying to take advantage of the situation to gain political power. Imagine if each of the American states could run deficits with a federal bailout fund to back them up. Could we count on the voters of California, New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and Illinois to support candidates promising crippling austerity budgets, with draconian benefit cuts and skyrocketing taxes, so they can do the responsible thing? This is the system the EU has just adopted. What that means is get ready for still more IMF bailouts financed by American taxpayers.

9 indicted on charges of accessing Obama records

Nine people were indicted Wednesday on federal charges of accessing President Barack Obama's student loan records while they were employed for a Department of Education contractor in Iowa. The U.S. attorney's office said a grand jury returned the indictments in U.S. District Court in Davenport. All nine are charged with exceeding authorized computer access. They are accused of gaining access to a computer at a Coralville office where they worked between July 2007 and March 2009, and accessing Obama's student loan records while he was either a candidate for president, president-elect or president. U.S. attorney spokesman Mike Bladel referred questions to online copies of the indictments. Each of eight indictments posted by Wednesday night were brief, saying the charged individual "intentionally exceeded authorized access to a computer and thereby obtained information from a department and agency of the United States" and "intentionally accessed student loan records" of Obama without authorization. Those charged are Andrew J. Lage, 54, Patrick E. Roan, 51, Sandra Teague, 54 and Mercedes Costoyas, 53, all of Iowa City; Gary N. Grenell, 58, and Lisa Torney, 49, of Coralville; Anna C. Rhodes, 32, of Ainsworth; Julie L. Kline, 38, of West Branch; and John P. Phommivong, 29, for whom no hometown was listed. Lage told The Associated Press on Wednesday evening he did not know about the indictment and declined comment.

In January, 2007 Barack Obama declared his candidacy for the presidency with these words: It's not the magnitude of our problems that concerns me the most. It's the smallness of our politics. America's faced big problems before. But today, our leaders in Washington seem incapable of working together in a practical, common sense way. Politics has become so bitter and partisan, so gummed up by money and influence, that we can't tackle the big problems that demand solutions. And that's what we have to change first. We have to change our politics, and come together around our common interests and concerns as Americans. Today, Gallup reports: (Obama's) first-year ratings were the most polarized for a president in Gallup history, with an average 65-point gap between Republicans and Democrats. Obama's approval ratings have become slightly more polarized thus far in his second year in office, with an average 69-point gap between Democrats (83%) and Republicans (14%) since late January. This is a big deal. The first quote is the principal reason Barack Obama ran for President. At a minimum, it was his first public argument for why he thought the country should elect him, as opposed to the dozen or so other candidates who would enter the race. It remained a critically important idea throughout his candidacy. Remember, the Obama campaign was an "audacious" act of line-jumping within the Democratic Party. His justification was that the country couldn't afford to keep playing the same old political games. The hook of his candidacy was: America, do you really want to do Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton? Yet here we are, breaking records for polarization. How did that happen? Why has Obama failed to do what he promised?

Russia warns U.S. against unilateral Iran sanctions

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned the United States and other Western nations on Thursday against imposing unilateral sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program, Interfax news agency reported. The European Union has said it may impose unilateral sanctions if a U.N. Security Council resolution fails. U.S. President Barack Obama's administration has been lobbying Western companies not to do business with Iran, but has not imposed sanctions against them. Countries facing Security Council sanctions "cannot under any circumstances be the subject of one-sided sanctions imposed by one or other government bypassing the Security Council", Lavrov was quoted as saying by Interfax. "The position of the United States today does not display understanding of this absolutely clear truth." Russia is in talks with the United States and other U.N. Security Council members on a fourth round of sanctions. Moscow has indicated it could support broader sanctions but has stressed they must not harm the Iranian people. Washington has not publicly warned of unilateral sanctions but has made clear it wants tougher measures than veto-wielding Security Council member Russia is likely to accept.

Two private investigators working independently are asking why President Obama is using a Social Security number set aside for applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a mailing address in the state. In addition, the records indicate the number was issued between 1977 and 1979, yet Obama's earliest employment reportedly was in 1975 at a Baskin-Robbins ice-cream shop in Oahu, Hawaii. WND has copies of affidavits filed separately in a presidential eligibility lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia by Ohio licensed private investigator Susan Daniels and Colorado private investigator John N. Sampson. The investigators believe Obama needs to explain why he is using a Social Security number reserved for Connecticut applicants that was issued at a date later than he is known to have held employment. The Social Security website confirms the first three numbers in his ID are reserved for applicants with Connecticut addresses, 040-049. "Since 1973, Social Security numbers have been issued by our central office," the Social Security website explains. "The first three (3) digits of a person's social security number are determined by the ZIP code of the mailing address shown on the application for a social security number."

Top Obama advisers Jarrett and Axelrod given car privileges traditionally reserved for national security officials

President Obama has expanded the very small group of top aides who are given the privilege of taxpayer-funded personal drivers — who take them from their house to work and back home again each day — to include two top political advisers. The Bush White House did not give the same privileges to any of its political advisers, according to former Bush administration officials. There is a record of the Clinton White House doing so once for two months, according to documents obtained by The Daily Caller. Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod, both senior advisers to the president, have been given the luxurious and prestigious perk of being picked up at their homes and driven to work or around town throughout the day in government vehicles chauffeured by military drivers, according to a list of those given the benefit provided to The Daily Caller by the White House. In addition, Jarrett has been made a "protectee" of the Secret Service, a spokesman for the agency said. It is not clear to what extent Jarrett receives protection. Neither the White House or Secret Service would comment on the matter. "We don't discuss the scope or nature of protection for any Secret Service protectee due to operational security concerns," said Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan. But except for a few weeks after 9/11, political advisers to Bush such as Karl Rove did not have Secret Service details with them except for the rare occasion where they gave a speech where protesters were expected.

CBO ups Obamacare cost projections by $115 Billion

Congressional Budget Office estimates released Tuesday predict the health care overhaul will likely cost about $115 billion more in discretionary spending over ten years than the original cost projections. The additional spending — if approved over the years by Congress — would bring the total estimated cost of the overhaul to about $1 trillion. The Congressional Budget Office expects the federal agencies to spend $10 billion to $20 billion over 10 years on administrative costs to implement the overhaul. The CBO expects Congress to spend an additional $105 billion over 10 years to fund discretionary programs in the overhaul. The CBO released the estimates in response to a request from California Rep. Jerry Lewis, ranking Republican on the House Appropriations Committee. A spokeswoman for Lewis said the inquiry was filed before the House voted on the bill. "[L]arge sums of discretionary spending in both the House and Senate versions of the health care reform bills have not yet been included in estimates by the CBO, rendering it impossible to make informed decisions regarding the outcome of this legislation," Lewis wrote in a February letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, asking her to postpone votes until the discretionary spending analysis was complete.

Kagan may have to sit out key cases for Obama agenda

President Obama's nomination of Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court assumes that she will have to step aside on numerous cases. But that concern that was trumped by what Obama called her "skill as a consensus builder." For Obama, installing Kagan on the high court would mean more than adding another like-minded constitutional scholar to the mix. Ideally, Kagan would bring outreach skills the more liberal members of the court have been lacking. "She has a long record as a consensus builder and is the kind of person who can bridge the 5-4 splits that have become so routine on this court," said Sen. Chuck Schumer, a New York Democrat and member of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Kagan's skill set appeals to Obama, who wants to expand on his first-year Supreme Court nomination of Justice Sonia Sotomayor. While Sotomayor is a reliable liberal vote on the court and the first Latina to serve, she functions primarily as a counterpoint to the court's conservatives. Obama perceives Kagan as a justice with a broader role on the court.

Now those hearings will be damaging reminders of Democrat plans to socialize America. Kagan is as doctrinaire anti military pro abortion liberal as Stevens, but she is 40 years younger. So these factors make her an awful choice, but a closer look shows her selection has a bright side. Kagan will be a problem for the already sagging Democrats and her liberalism will be little consolation for them in November. Kagan whose countenance screams "lesbian" in a manly voice is a Manhattan liberal that will repel Middle Americans who will see her nomination as another finger in the eye from a Marxist president who cares little about real America. How about "Chauncey Brownwell Smithers III?" If Obama had selected a bow tie wearing fifty year old George Will look a like WASP from Ohio named Chauncey Brownwell Smithers III he'd be just as sure of getting a 100% reliably liberal voter on the Court. Since each Justice only gets one vote he would be all Obama needs to keep destroying the country. A "Chauncey Smithers" wouldn't raise ANY red flags. He would help lull conservatives to sleep and maybe save a Democrat Senate seat or two. Nevertheless, if Dino Rossi runs against Patty Murray her support for Kagan will be the final nail in her coffin.

Outrage: Obama Administration Targets Military for Pay Reductions

President Barack Obama — who came to power with the help of government employee unions across the nation and has lavished on them hundreds of billions in stimulus funds to keep them on federal, state and local payrolls with no strings attached — is moving to cut spending on salaries for military personnel. This weekend The Washington Post headlined story, "Pentagon Asking Congress to Hold Back on Generous Increases in Troop Pay," disclosed that the Obama administration is "pleading" with Congress to give military personnel a much smaller increase in pay than lawmakers have proposed. The Pentagon contends that Congress simply has been too generous with troops during the past decade. In fact, lawmakers have lavished so much money on troops, according to the Post, that service members are now better compensated than workers in the private sector with similar experience and education levels. For example, the military brass claims that an average sergeant in the Army with four years of service and one dependent would receive $52,589 in annual compensation, according to the paper. This figure includes basic pay, housing, and subsistence allowances, as well as tax benefits.

"That helped to create the tea-baggers and empowered that whole wing of the Republican Party to where it now controls the agenda for Republicans." Because the Democrat party was alone in passing the stimulus and then the budget and then the healthcare spending bill, the Democrats alone own the increasingly unpopular issue of overspending. Obama is determined not to repeat this mistake when he moves to massively raise taxes after the 2010 election. But that was then and this is now. To grasp the reasons behind Obama's descent into the mud, start with some basic facts. In 2008, he won almost exactly the same percentage of the white vote that John Kerry won in 2004. The reasons he won and Kerry lost were all demographic: * Obama generated an African-American turnout three points higher than Kerry, and almost all of those new voters supported him. * Latino-American voters gave Obama a margin of 45 points while they supported Kerry by only 10 -- and they constituted 1 percent more of the vote in '08 than in '04. * Obama offset his losses among older white voters by increasing the turnout and the Democratic margin among whites under age 30.

Obama's Supreme pick has love affair with socialism

In her undergraduate thesis at Princeton, President Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court, Elena Kagan, lamented the decline of socialism in the country as "sad" for those who still hope to "change America." Titled "To the Final Conflict: Socialism in New York City, 1900-1933," Kagan opined that infighting caused the decline of the early socialist movement. She asked why the "greatness" of socialism was not reemerging as a major political force. "In our own times, a coherent socialist movement is nowhere to be found in the United States. Americans are more likely to speak of a golden past than of a golden future, of capitalism's glories than of socialism's greatness," wrote Kagan, Obama's solicitor general. "Why, in a society by no means perfect, has a radical party never attained the status of a major political force? Why, in particular, did the socialist movement never become an alternative to the nation's established parties?" she asked. In the senior thesis, Kagan, who graduated from Princeton in 1981, addressed infighting in the socialist movement. "Through its own internal feuding, then, the SP [Socialist Party] exhausted itself forever and further reduced labor radicalism in New York to the position of marginality and insignificance from which it has never recovered.

Obama waives ethics rules for eligibility lawyer

President Obama has waived ethics rules for White House counsel Robert Bauer, his personal and campaign lawyer – and the same attorney who has defended Obama in lawsuits challenging his eligibility to be president. Late last year, Obama installed Robert Bauer – top lawyer for Obama, Obama's presidential campaign, the Democratic National Committee and Obama's Organizing for America – as White House counsel. Bauer had been a partner at the law firm Perkins Coie. However, Executive Order 13490, "Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Personnel," prohibits political appointees from participating in any matter involving specific parties that is directly and substantially related to former employers or former clients. The rule typically expires two years after the date of appointment. According to the ethics waiver posted May 7 at 5 p.m. on the White House website, Bauer is now exempted from the requirements of the ethics pledge "solely with respect to his former client the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and with respect to his former employer Perkins Coie LLP (Perkins Coie) in its capacity as counsel to the DNC and to President Barack Obama in his personal capacity." The waiver suggests the ethics rules would have prevented Bauer from working on Obama's financial disclosure forms or issues related to the Democratic National Committee. The document states, "Before his service as Counsel to the President, Mr. Bauer and Perkins Coie represented the President in his personal capacity, and Mr. Bauer's former firm continues to represent the President on such matters. If the ethics pledge were literally applied, when representing the interests of the President and the United States as Counsel to the President, Mr. Bauer would not be able to advise the President appropriately on particular matters that are directly and substantially related to Perkins Coie's representation of the President in his personal capacity."

Amnesty Demonstrations Become Violent

    They say a picture is worth a thousand words. We found the sign on the right posted on the Internet... it was allegedly taken at an Arizona pro-Amnesty demonstration.

     Immediately after the publication of the photo, a firestorm erupted on the Internet... some posters claimed the image was 'photo-shopped.' Others claimed that the holder of the sign was simply being sarcastic. Others claimed that the holder of the sign was an 'infiltrator' to this pro-Amnesty rally.

     Is the photo authentic? Who knows? But what we do know is that it pretty much sums up what this fight against Amnesty for illegal aliens is all about... a feeling that America owes something to those who have violated our laws by sneaking across our borders illegally.

     We also know that pro-Amnesty demonstrators committed heinous acts of violence at many of these rallies... smashing windows... assaulting patriotic Americans... of course, the Lame Stream Media ignored those stories.

     According to the Washington Times: "Yet, from the very first demonstration in Phoenix when the bill was signed on April 23, liberal protests have been marked by violence and arrests. In Chicago last week, the local Fox station reported that 'police clashed with demonstrators' and protesters blocked vehicles; 24 were arrested. A Sunday march in Santa Cruz, Calif., damaged 18 businesses, with repair costs reaching an estimated 100,000. In San Francisco, three people were beaten by protesters, with two arrested. During a pro-illegal-immigration protest outside the White House on Saturday, 35 were arrested. The list goes on."

     And yet, at this very moment, legislators on both sides of the aisle are planning to shove an Amnesty bill down the throats of the American people and it is up to patriotic Americans like us to make sure that they do no such thing.

     So what's going on here? Why would Obama say one thing and Democrat leaders in Congress and the shock troops of the extreme left do the exact opposite? Are Democrats simply confused?

     Not on your life. Make no mistake, Senate Democrats intend to ram Amnesty, for up to 12 million illegal aliens, down our throats as soon as humanly possible but they know they won't be able to do it unless they put patriotic Americans to sleep.

     And they'll even follow the same game plan they followed two years ago... they'll claim that they're giving us a tough border enforcement measure... but patriotic Americans already know that such a measure will be short on enforcement and long on Amnesty.

     We're not going to let them get away with it. Now is not the time to fall asleep. We can stop Amnesty but that means we must keep up the pressure... and with your help, that's exactly what we are going to do.

Obama: We Won't Enforce Immigration Laws And We Won't Let You Enforce Them Either....
     Facing a plague of murders, kidnappings and criminal mayhem, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer did what Barack Hussein Obama has refused to do. She signed a simple, no-nonsense bill into law that would help secure Arizona's southern border.

     But then, within hours... 'The President Of All Those Illegally In The United States,' Barack Hussein Obama, sprang into action. Calling the new law "misguided" and "irresponsible," he immediately signaled his intentions to bring the full weight of federal government to bear to stop Arizona from protecting its people from criminal lawlessness, murders and kidnappings.

     Why? In a futile attempt to explain his horrendous disdain for the people of Arizona (and the American people in general), he proceeded to tell falsehoods and race-bait. With the help of fifth-columnists in the Lame Stream Media, the Obama Administration attempted to sell the American people a phony bill of goods and claimed the Arizona law would lead to "profiling."

     It wasn't true. In fact, the Arizona law specifically PROHIBITS "profiling" and moreover, many sections of the Arizona law are actually taken from existing federal law... which, unfortunately, is NOT being enforced.

     And now, as you read this urgent appeal, Barack Hussein Obama and extreme leftists in Congress are scurrying to push amnesty for illegal aliens... just in case any other states get the idea that they can enact laws to secure the border.

     In our humble opinion, it's Barack Obama and the proponents of amnesty on Capitol Hill who are "misguided" and "irresponsible" ... and needless to say; we're not about to let them shove amnesty down our throats.

Race-Baiting And Falsehoods....
     Yes, that's a strong accusation to make, but look at the following statement and judge for yourself.

     Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in Iowa, Obama told the following whopper: "You can imagine if you are a Hispanic American in Arizona, your great grandparents may have been there before Arizona was even a state. Now suddenly if you don't have your papers and you take your kid out for ice cream and you're going to be harassed, that's not the right way to go."

     That's an extremely deceptive and misleading statement. As previously stated, the Arizona law specifically PROHIBITS "profiling." Under the Arizona law, a law enforcement officer simply CANNOT stop or detain a person randomly... without cause... (or because that person "looks Hispanic").

     If, on the other hand, a law enforcement officer stops a person for some legitimate reason... for example... running a red light... or breezing past a stop sign... the officer then has some latitude to inquire or check the person's status.

     And why is that important? Here's a real-life tragedy that might put the Arizona law in perspective, courtesy of the Heritage Foundation:

"Mohammad Atta, one of the 9/11 hijackers, was pulled over in a traffic stop two days before the 9/11 attacks. If the officer had inquired about Atta, he might have discovered that Atta was in the country illegally and might have prevented his participation in the attacks."

     That's possibly why Arizona state senator Russell Pearce said that those who are against the new Arizona law are... in actuality... "against law enforcement, our citizens and the rule of law."

     The Arizona legislation will simply remove the "political handcuffs" from police... nothing more... nothing less... and Barack Obama knows it.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform Is Always A Code Phrase For Amnesty.
     The people of Arizona may have done all of us a huge favor. The urgent need to secure our borders is, once again, a topic of discussion... but that also means that the left is now frantic. Liberals now have an urgent need to shove amnesty down the throats of the American people.

     Barack Hussein Obama and liberals on Capitol Hill know that they must move quickly... if they don't, more states will emulate Arizona, and ruin their plans. They're ready for a fight... they will move quickly... and that means that we must move quickly too.

     You're probably already hearing a lot of talk about "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" ... and whenever you hear that term, know that "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" is ALWAYS nothing more than a code phrase... in reality, it ALWAYS means Amnesty for Everyone.

     Also know that we've been down this road before. In 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), also known as the Simpson-Mazzoli Act.

     Simpson-Mazolli was perhaps our nation's first major attempt at so-called "Comprehensive Immigration Reform." It made provisions for strict immigration enforcement measures but also granted amnesty to approximately 3 million illegal aliens.

     Of course, you already know what happened next. The strict immigration enforcement measures never really materialized, but the passage of Simpson- Mazolli sent an unmistakable message to those who wanted to enter the United States illegally.

     Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer perhaps described the dynamic best: "In the absence of a closed border, amnesty is a sign at the border to anyone who wants to enter illegally as a way to say come on in, try again and again and again. If you get in, hide. Ultimately, in a decade or so, there's going to be amnesty...."

     After the passage of Simpson-Mazolli, the floodgates eventually opened... as people who were inclined to cross our border illegally, did so in ever increasing numbers, under the assumption that another amnesty would be waiting in the wings at some point in the foreseeable future... and today, there are an estimated 12 million illegal aliens presently in the United States.

     And therein lies the problem with amnesty. If we reward up to 12 million people, who violated our laws and crossed the border illegally, with legal status, it will only encourage greater numbers of people... Robert Rector with the Heritage Foundation once put the number at 40 million... to do the same.

     Considering our present economic woes... heavy unemployment... unsustainable debt... do you believe our system can handle such a tidal wave?

Since When Does Barack Obama Have A Problem With Profiling?
     Didn't Barack Hussein Obama's Department of Homeland Security issue a report, not too long ago, instructing law enforcement officers to PROFILE folks like us... you know... veterans, pro-lifers... conservatives... people opposed to amnesty?

     Does Barack Hussein Obama actually believe that it's okay to "profile" patriotic law-abiding Americans and then falsely accuse others of "profiling" to crush legitimate attempts to actually enforce our laws?

     No one doubts that many of those who have violated our laws, and come into the United States illegally, are otherwise decent and hard-working people simply looking for a better life... but it is also an indisputable and alarming fact that variations of the Atta story, mentioned above, are all too common.

     And Arizona has become a war-zone. In addition to those coming across the border (illegally) in search of a better life, there are an alarming number of criminals, cartels, kidnappers and street-gangs.

     That's no exaggeration. Actually, things are getting bad across the USA... at this very moment, according to the DEA, major cartels are operating openly in at least 195 cities and town in the United States... from sea to shining sea.

     According to the Bureau of Justice, 29 percent of the inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

     And major cities are getting hit the hardest. Heather MacDonald, in an article titled, Illegal Alien Crime Wave, for City-Journal said that 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide in the City of Los Angeles and as many as two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants are for illegal aliens.

     Perhaps that's why, when Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed the new law, she plainly stated: "We cannot sacrifice our safety to the murderous greed of... cartels. We cannot stand idly by as drop houses, kidnappings and violence compromise our quality of life. We cannot delay while the destruction happening south of our international border creeps its way north."

Kagan spit in the eye of America's Armed Forces

Realizing that the retirement of Justice Stevens threatened to leave the Supreme Court without a military veteran, the Committee for Justice and others urged President Obama to replace Stevens with someone who has "the military experience necessary to understand and evaluate the government's national security arguments." Most importantly, Justice Stevens himself talked recently about the importance of having "at least one person on the Court who had military experience." It was disappointing enough when the President showed no interest in this important concern. But in selecting Elena Kagan, Obama has chosen to replace the Court's last veteran with a nominee who essentially spit in the eye of America's armed forces. Kagan banished military recruiters from the Harvard Law School campus during a time of war, after pronouncing our armed forces guilty of "a moral injustice of the first order" for carrying out the Clinton Administration's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Millions of Americans will be outraged when they learn that Obama has picked a Supreme Court nominee with a demonstrated hostility to the very armed forces that make our freedom and constitutional rights possible. But that's just one reason why President Obama is in for a more difficult confirmation fight than he bargained for when he chose Kagan. Kagan starts out with more than thirty votes against her confirmation to the High Court. Only seven Republican senators voted to confirm her as Solicitor General 14 months ago. Now she faces the less deferential standard applied to lifetime Supreme Court appointments, an emboldened Republican Party, nervous red state Democratic senators, and a public concerned about the nation's leftward drift. Added to that mix will be scrutiny of Kagan's out-of-the-mainstream views on gay rights, which are sure to generate controversy and vigorous opposition. Kagan's argument that "don't ask, don't tell" justifies kicking the military off campus was unanimously rejected by the Supreme Court in 2006, placing her to the left of even the Court's most liberal Justices on the issue of gay rights and the First Amendment. Moreover, Kagan allowed her obviously strong feelings about gay rights to interfere with her duties as Solicitor General. At least twice during the last year, in cases involving challenges to the Defense of Marriage Act and the "don't ask, don't tell policy," Kagan failed to vigorously defend federal law despite her institutional obligation and promise to senators to do so."

Obama's Dangerous Doubletalk

President Obama's commencement speech at the University of Michigan on May 1 would have been great, except that it so blatantly contradicts his actions that the speech was nothing short of Orwellian. This is only the latest example of where Obama's rhetoric is diametrically opposed to his policies, and included one of his favorite tactics to discredit his critics and advance his agenda. Last Saturday, the president spoke to new graduates in Ann Arbor about valuing dissent. He suggested those who listen to Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck visit liberal websites. Evidently appreciating that this would seem unbalanced, he also said that those who read the New York Times should try the Wall Street Journal on occasion. The president cited these as examples of valuing diversity. He concluded that, "the practice of listening to opposing voices is essential for effective citizenship." The president added, "You can disagree with a certain policy without demonizing the person who espouses it. You can question someone's views and their judgment without questioning their motives or their patriotism." He then criticizes those who use phrases such as "socialist" or "Soviet-style takeover" to describe his policies. President Obama's hypocrisy is simply breathless. These statements completely contradict his policies. First, what if such a descriptive term is appropriate? "Socialism" is where government controls the means of economic production to provide a certain minimum standard of living through basic entitlements, paid for through taxes and fees. You can refer to a particular law as embodying socialism without calling its supporters socialists.

US President Barack Obama lamented Sunday that in the iPad and Xbox era, information had become a diversion that was imposing new strains on democracy, in his latest critique of modern media. Obama, who often chides journalists and cable news outlets for obsessing with political horse race coverage rather than serious issues, told a class of graduating university students that education was the key to progress. "You're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank all that high on the truth meter," Obama said at Hampton University, Virginia. "With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations, -- none of which I know how to work -- information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation," Obama said. He bemoaned the fact that "some of the craziest claims can quickly claim traction," in the clamor of certain blogs and talk radio outlets. "All of this is not only putting new pressures on you, it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy."

One of Obama's closest friends part of federal probe

E-mails and other records of Dr. Eric Whitaker -- one of President Obama's best friends -- have been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned. The investigation involves "faith-based initiatives" and health-awareness campaigns funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health when Whitaker ran the agency for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, according to copies of subpoenas obtained under the state's Freedom of Information Act. Obama has said he recommended Whitaker for that job, which Whitaker landed in April 2003. The president's friend resigned in October 2007 to join Obama's wife, Michelle, as an executive at the University of Chicago Medical Center. On Friday, Whitaker defended his work as the state's former top health official, saying he developed "new methods" to help "African-American and other minority communities" get better medical care. "The faith-based outreach programs at issue in this inquiry were recognized during my tenure by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and others as national models for increasing awareness and preparedness planning for minority populations," Whitaker said in a statement. "The programs were functioning well when I left the department in 2007."

Poll: Obama has Lost Almost Half of his US Jewish Support

United States President Barack Obama has lost nearly half of his support among American Jews, a poll by the McLaughlin Group has shown. The US Jews polled were asked whether they would: (a) vote to re-elect Obama, or (b) consider voting for someone else. 42% said they would vote for Obama and 46%, a plurality, preferred the second answer. 12% said they did not know or refused to answer. In the Presidential elections of 2008, 78% of Jewish voters, or close to 8 out of 10, chose Obama. The McLaughlin poll held nearly 18 months later, in April 2010, appears to show that support is down to around 4 out of 10. The poll showed that key voter segments including Orthodox/Hassidic voters, Conservative voters, voters who have friends and family in Israel and those who have been to Israel, are all more likely to consider voting for someone other than Obama. Among Orthodox/Hassidic voters, 69% marked 'someone else' vs. 17% who marked 're-elect.' Among Conservative-affiliated voters the proportion was 50% to 38%. Among Reform Jews, a slim majority of 52% still supported Obama while 36% indicated they would consider someone else. Among Jews with family in Israel and those who had been to Israel, about 50% said they would consider someone else, while 41%-42% supported Obama.

The Cover-up: BP's Crude Politics and the Looming Environmental Mega-Disaster

WMR has been informed by sources in the US Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and Florida Department of Environmental Protection that the Obama White House and British Petroleum (BP), which pumped $71,000 into Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign -- more than John McCain or Hillary Clinton, are covering up the magnitude of the volcanic-level oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and working together to limit BP's liability for damage caused by what can be called a "mega-disaster." Obama and his senior White House staff, as well as Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, are working with BP's chief executive officer Tony Hayward on legislation that would raise the cap on liability for damage claims from those affected by the oil disaster from $75 million to $10 billion. However, WMR's federal and Gulf state sources are reporting the disaster has the real potential cost of at least $1 trillion. Critics of the deal being worked out between Obama and Hayward point out that $10 billion is a mere drop in the bucket for a trillion dollar disaster but also note that BP, if its assets were nationalized, could fetch almost a trillion dollars for compensation purposes. There is talk in some government circles, including FEMA, of the need to nationalize BP in order to compensate those who will ultimately be affected by the worst oil disaster in the history of the world.

Obama Freezes Budget for Program Designed to Stop Terrorists from Getting U.S. Visas

Four months after the attempted Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Flight 253 over Detroit and nine years after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, only 14 of the 57 U.S. consulates identified as being at "high risk" for potentially providing visas to terrorists have been furnished with units of the Department of Homeland Security's Visa Security Program (VSP). President Barack Obama, meanwhile, is planning to freeze the program's budget for fiscal 2011. The VSP, established by the Homeland Security Act of 2002, puts Department of Homeland Security officials in the field at U.S. consulates to vet the backgrounds of people applying for U.S. visas. DHS uses a broader range of databases than the State Department to review the backgrounds of visa applicants. Also, many policymakers believe DHS officials tend to be more security-minded than State Department consular officers when reviewing visa applications. While administration officials have said publicly that five additional VSP units should be in place at high risk consulates by the end of 2011, President Barack Obama's fiscal Year 2011 budget for DHS--submitted almost two months after the Christmas Day bombing attempt—does not increase funding for the program from its fiscal 2010 level.

Klein's co-author is historian and researcher Brenda J. Elliott. The book seeks to expose an extremist coalition of communists, socialists and other radicals working both inside and outside the administration to draft and advance current White House policy goals.

Obama's view of Cameron: a lightweight, claims magazine

According to tomorrow's New Statesman, Barack Obama was unimpressed by his encounter with David Cameron earlier this year and commented: "What a lightweight!" According to James Macintyre's report, Cameron's attempt to stress his pro-American and Eurosceptic credentials did not meet with Obama's approval. According to Macintyre's diplomatic sources, the Democratic candidate was "distinctly unimpressed" and labelled Cameron a lightweight. Macintyre notes that 48 hours earlier Obama had delivered a speech in Berlin stressing "the importance of Europe's role in our security and our future". Following the meeting with Cameron, Obama apparently asked officials for more information on Tory Euroscepticism. Macintyre also speculates that Cameron's support for the Iraq war – which Obama opposed – did not help the relationship either. The report is sure to dismay Cameron and damage his attempts to portray himself as a world-class statesman – not to mention relations between Obama's incoming administration and a possible future Tory government. When Cameron met the then-presidential candidate in July, the two held an hour of discussions, and Obama also met shadow cabinet members William Hague and George Osborne.

Obama National Security Policy: Hope Their Bombs Don't Work

It took Faisal Shahzad trying to set off a car bomb in Times Square to get President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano to finally use the word "terrorism." (And not to refer to Tea Party activists!) This is a major policy shift for a president who spent a month telling Americans not to "jump to conclusions" after Army doctor Nidal Malik Hasan reportedly jumped on a desk, shouted "Allahu Akbar!" and began shooting up Fort Hood. After last weekend, now Obama is even threatening to pronounce it "Pack-i-stan" instead of "Pahk-i-stahn." We know Obama is taking terrorism seriously because he took a break from his "Hope, Change & Chuckles" tour on the comedy circuit to denounce terrorists. In a bit of macho posturing this week, Obama declared that -- contrary to the terrorists' wishes -- Americans "will not be terrorized, we will not cower in fear, we will not be intimidated." First of all, having the Transportation Security Administration wanding infants, taking applesauce away from 93-year-old dementia patients, and forcing all Americans to produce their shoes, computers and containers with up to 3 ounces of liquid in Ziploc bags for special screening pretty much blows that "not intimidated" look Obama wants America to adopt.

Blame Obama. Why Not?

The left and the media knee-capped the Bush presidency for not making Hurricane Katrina go away fast enough. So now, like a village feud in ancient Sicily, the right and its media are knee-capping the Obama presidency for not making the Gulf's spilled oil go away fast enough. Boo hoo. Are we supposed to say that the criticism of Mr. Obama is unfair? Sorry. The permanent smackdown that is now U.S. politics has devolved into a zero-sum proposition whenever anything bad happens in American life—an oil spill, a terrorist bomb in Times Square, a financial meltdown, a mining disaster. It works like this: If you occupy a position of leadership or responsibility in public or private life, your thought process in the face of disaster now runs rationally in this order: 1) Am I going to get blamed for this? 2) Is there anything we can do to help? 3) Will we get tagged if something goes wrong with that effort?

Breaking--ObamaCare prompts top companies to consider dropping employee coverage

In a stunning revelation Wednesday, several top U.S. corporations are seriously considering dropping employee health insurance coverage in light of what they see as the inevitable consequence of ObamaCare--skyrocketing costs. The companies state that after their legal experts poured over the thousands of pages in the new law, it will cost them less to pay the fines for not providing healthcare coverage for employees than continuing to provide employer-paid health insurance benefits. As a side-note to the announcement, the companies maintain that ObamaCare will result in a dramatic increase in expenses for providing employee coverage, with added costs skyrocketing to multi-billions of dollars. According to Business Record: Additionally, the penalties to businesses for not offering coverage are less expensive than the cost of providing insurance, she said. "But for those that aren't providing coverage now, this is a huge burden to them. And for employers that have a lot of employees working 30 hours (the threshold to be considered full- time), you may have a lot of businesses cutting them back to 29 hours."

"The Spurs against Los Suns from Phoenix." The Phoenix Suns are calling themselves Los Suns today in honor of the celebration, with the owner of the team blasting the immigration reform law in their home state, Arizona. He wasn't the only one, of course. The president this evening said that "America's diversity is America's strength," and said "that is why I spoke out against the recently passed law in Arizona." "Make no mistake our immigration system is broken and after so many years in which Washington failed to meet its responsibilities Americans are right to be frustrated, including folks along border states." But that said, he added that the answer is not the "undermine fundamental principals" that define the nation like in Arizona.

Obama and Oil Cronies exempted BP's Gulf of Mexico drilling from environmental study

The Interior Department exempted BP's calamitous Gulf of Mexico drilling operation from a detailed environmental impact analysis last year, according to government documents, after three reviews of the area concluded that a massive oil spill was unlikely. The decision by the department's Minerals Management Service (MMS) to give BP's lease at Deepwater Horizon a "categorical exclusion" from the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) on April 6, 2009 -- and BP's lobbying efforts just 11 days before the explosion to expand those exemptions -- show that neither federal regulators nor the company anticipated an accident of the scale of the one unfolding in the gulf. Now, environmentalists and some key senators are calling for a reassessment of safety requirements for offshore drilling. Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), who has supported offshore oil drilling in the past, said, "I suspect you're going to see an entirely different regime once people have a chance to sit back and take a look at how do we anticipate and clean up these potential environmental consequences" from drilling.

Obama biggest recipient of BP cash

While the BP oil geyser pumps millions of gallons of petroleum into the Gulf of Mexico, President Barack Obama and members of Congress may have to answer for the millions in campaign contributions they've taken from the oil and gas giant over the years. BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years, with the largest chunk of their money going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Donations come from a mix of employees and the company's political action committees — $2.89 million flowed to campaigns from BP-related PACs and about $638,000 came from individuals. On top of that, the oil giant has spent millions each year on lobbying — including $15.9 million last year alone — as it has tried to influence energy policy. During his time in the Senate and while running for president, Obama received a total of $77,051 from the oil giant and is the top recipient of BP PAC and individual money over the past 20 years, according to financial disclosure records. An Obama spokesman rejected the notion that the president took big oil money.

Even as investigators were hunting for the perpetrator of the botched "man-caused disaster" in Times Square, our cool homeland security secretary, Janet Napolitano, was reassuring a frazzled nation that the failed bombing appeared to be an isolated incident -- a "one-off" -- and avoided the notion of (much less the word) "terrorism." Thankfully, law enforcement agencies refrain from leaping to conclusions before they have all the facts. Not Janet. And citizens should not infer anything based on a litany of historical and anecdotal evidence, even after the fact, lest some group feel demonized. "If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that," explained New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg -- who has plenty of quarters to spare -- during the investigation's early stages, "homegrown, maybe a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda that doesn't like the health care bill or something. It could be anything." It could be anything, said the mayor of New York. A mentally deranged person perhaps? Maybe some crazy from the fundamentalist faction of about 56 percent of us who opposed health care reform?

Book: Obama dressed down Pentagon brass

President Barack Obama reprimanded top Pentagon officials last year for pressing publicly for a troop increase in Afghanistan. That's according to "The Promise," a book on Obama's first year in office by Newsweek writer Jonathan Alter. It goes on sale May 19. The book says Obama laid into Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs Chairman Mike Mullen in an Oval Office meeting last October. Obama was irked by the leak of a confidential report by Gen. Stanley McChrystal calling for an expanded military presence in Afghanistan, and by McChrystal saying he could not support a strategy relying on special forces and unmanned drone attacks. Obama was conducting a lengthy review of operations in Afghanistan at the time. He largely sided with the generals and agreed to deploy 30,000 more troops.

White House in P.R. 'panic' over spill

The ferocious oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico is threatening President Barack Obama's reputation for competence, just as surely as it endangers the Gulf ecosystem. So White House aides are escalating their efforts to reassure Congress and the public in the face of a slow-motion catastrophe, even though it's not clear they can bring it under control anytime soon. "There is no good answer to this," one senior administration official said. "There is no readily apparent solution besides one that could take three months. ... If it doesn't show the impotence of the government, it shows the limits of the government." Hope and change was Obama's headline message in 2008, but those atop his campaign have always said that it was Obama's cool competence — exemplified by his level-headed handling of the financial meltdown during the campaign's waning days — that sealed the deal with independents and skeptical Democrats. The promise of rational, responsive and efficient government is Obama's brand, his justification for bigger and bolder federal interventions and, ultimately, his rationale for a second term. So there was a "little bit of panic," according to one administration official, when White House aides sensed the oil spill narrative getting away from them last week. The White House was particularly alarmed by the rash of stories comparing the Obama administration's initial response with President George W. Bush's sluggish response in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

OBAMA FIDDLED WHILE THE GULF BURNED

The oil that is still leaking from the well can seriously damage the economy and the environment of our Gulf States, and it could extend for a long time. The Deepwater Horizon well exploded on April 20, but the President did not make his first remarks on the incident until nine days later and finally visited the region May 2, twelve days after the massive explosion. In the days after the spill, the administration did not express much concern and the Coast Guard Commander for the region said that "we do not see a major spill emanating from this incident." Instead of sending the "A-team" to the region, the President dispatched a Deputy Interior Secretary. Prior to addressing the Gulf disaster, the President found time to blast Wall Street and the Governor of Arizona, advocate Earth Day awareness, meet with Rev. Billy Graham, pitch racial politics in his weekly radio address, prepare his jokes for the White House Correspondents' Dinner, make a racially divisive video to activate his political coalition for the 2010 election and hold an impromptu news conference on a range of topics. In this news conference, the President discussed everything from the Supreme Court to immigration, but did not mention the disaster in the Gulf. It was not until April 29 that President Obama deemed the massive explosion right off the coast of Louisiana to be worthy of comment.

While the Lame Stream Media ripped into Franklin Graham, patriotic Americans like you dared to ask exactly WHO gave the order to oust Graham from the National Day of Prayer service at the Pentagon.

     And some members of Congress are listening. Congressman Trent Franks' office (R-AZ), at this very moment, is asking other members of Congress to sign a letter which will demand that Secretary of Defense Robert Gates explain exactly WHAT standards are being used to refuse Christian religious leaders the right to speak on base.

     In a recently issued press release, Franks calls the Pentagon's decision to oust Graham "an outrageous affront to the ideals of freedom of religion and expression that are the essence of America" and Franks further claims: "This ridiculous decision shows the lengths to which some will go to stifle religious freedom in the name of tolerance."

     And Frank's letter is coming not a moment too soon, because, according to a number of press reports, Muslim activists, not content with having Graham removed from the Pentagon service are also pushing to have Graham removed from yet another prayer event.

     Now that Congress is taking notice, it's time to push the matter. The American people deserve to know who made the asinine decision to oust Graham from the National Day of Prayer service at the Pentagon. Heads need to roll and those responsible must be held to account.

There Was No Massive Outcry To "Dis-Invite" Graham.
     As you may already suspect, there was no massive outcry to remove Graham from the National Day of Prayer observance.

     The only "substantive" objection to Graham's appearance at the National Day of Prayer service came from a tiny fringe organization which deceptively calls itself the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF).

     Of course, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) — an un-indicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism funding case in America's history — joined MRFF in the protest... but, make no mistake, MRFF carried the water on this jihad.

     Left-wing journalist David Corn, in a hit-piece titled "National Day of Prayer: Franklin Graham Deserved to Be Booted," wrote: "After learning of the invitation extended to Graham, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, a watchdog group, objected to his participation, noting Graham's presence would offend Muslim employees at the Pentagon...."

     The MRFF claims it lodged the investigation on behalf of "a courageous community" of military personnel "of the Muslim faith at the Pentagon." However, the members of this "courageous community" have also, remained "courageously" anonymous.

     But that's not the only detail of this whole sordid affair that is still under wraps. What Corn and the Mainstream Media are NOT telling you is that the Military Religious Freedom Foundation is the brain-child of Mickey Weinstein... it's essentially a one-man organization and this man (Weinstein) has been on a vindictive, personal, irrational and malevolent jihad to bully public officials and agencies into eradicating the religious liberties of our brave men and women in uniform for over a decade.

     "Malevolent, personal jihad?" ... admittedly those are strong words... but that's not just our opinion. Weinstein's actions, and the bile that has issued forth from his own mouth for years, make the assertion indisputable.

     And Weinstein, of course, is not alone in this quest to eradicate the religious liberties of the men and women who bravely serve our country... and it's a quest that must be stopped.

Who Is Mickey Weinstein?
     But before we go into more details, you might want to know a little more about Mickey Weinstein. Some of what you are about to read is shocking... we couldn't make it up if we tried.

     Back in 2000, when a Christian group shot a video that showed — among other things — military officers praying and expressing their faith, Weinstein went ballistic. He ranted: "These people should be court-martialed" and he irrationally claimed that people of faith were trying to transform the military into a "'frickin' faith-based initiative."

     In October 2005, Weinstein actually sued the United States Air Force in an attempt to silence military officers from expressing their faith. Fortunately, U.S. District Judge James A. Parker, who presided over Weinstein v. U.S. Air Force, dismissed the case.

     In 2008, Weinstein, during an interview with The Philadelphia Jewish Voice called Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, the "Jesus Chainsaw Massacre."

     In that same interview Weinstein called the Officers' Christian Fellowship the "Christian Taliban" and compared deeply-held expressions of faith by Christians in the military to "yelling fire in a crowded movie theater."

     Weinstein also accused Christians, who dared to share the Gospel, of "preying" (yes... that's "preying" ... with a "e") on others.

     He called support, within the Christian community, for Jews and the State of Israel (in his own words), the "First Thanksgiving Theory." Weinstein explains his whacked theory as follows; "the Pilgrims loved the turkey the night before the first Thanksgiving. It is all about fattening the herd for the slaughter that is coming...."

     And Weinstein proudly admits to belonging to a variety of extreme left-wing organizations... People for the American Way... Americans United for Separation of Church and State... and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

     The fact that leftists like David Corn and other fifth-columnists of the Mainstream Media would give an irrational extremist like Weinstein a platform and an undeserved veneer of respectability should not come as a shock.

     But the fact that the defense department, absent any legitimate outcry, would give radicals like Weinstein and CAIR the time of day and stopFranklin Graham from participating in the National Day of Prayer service is an offense that the American people should not take lying down.

     It simply does not pass the sniff test. That's just one reason why we must know WHO gave the order... and WHY they gave the order... and the individual (or individuals) who gave the order within the defense department or the Obama Administration must be exposed and summarily punished.... and we can make that happen.

Graham... The Target Du Jour.
     Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin wrote:

"It's truly a sad day when such a fine patriotic man [Graham], whose son is serving on his fourth deployment in Afghanistan to protect our freedom of speech and religion, is dis-invited from speaking at the Pentagon's National Day of Prayer service. His comments in 2001 were aimed at those who are so radical that they would kill innocent people and subjugate women in the name of religion."

"Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we can't abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith? What a shame. Yes, things have changed."

     Palin's comments are an understatement.

     The idiocy that is transpiring is NOT about Franklin Graham, or comments Graham made that are being taken out of context... it's bigger... it's about sabotaging and diminishing the National Day of Prayer... it's about eradicating the religious liberties of the brave men and women who proudly serve this country at a time when we are still at war against Islamic terrorists.

     Graham is simply the target-du-jour and the left is simply following the 12th rule of Saul Alinski's Rules for Radicals:

"Rule 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions."

     And Graham is a significant target. Another thing that the media is not telling you is that Graham was much more than an "invited speaker" at the National Day of Prayer service... Graham is the Honorary Chairman of the National Day of Prayer.

     If you want to destroy the National Day of Prayer... go for the head. And, of course, the added benefit for the left is that as long as the Mainstream Media focuses on Graham... on what he said... or didn't say... the American people lose sight of the much broader threat we are facing.

Remember... The National Day Of Prayer Is Unconstitutional... A Radical Left-Wing Judge Decreed It From On High.
     The news cycle is often too rapid... which is why many have already forgotten that on April 15th, a Jimmy Carter-appointed, radical left-wing U.S. District judge in Madison Wisconsin (Barbara Brandriff Crabb) decreed that the National Day of Prayer is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

     The ruling was so whacked that it sent shock-waves through the country.

     Mathew Staver, president of Liberty Counsel and dean of the Liberty University School of Law told CNSNews.com:

"If the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional, then the Constitution itself is unconstitutional."

     The Internet website GatewayPundit.com wrote:

"The commie left was at it again yesterday.... They will not be content until Christianity is erased from society."

President Obama decries incivility in politics then Blasts 'Tea-Baggers'

Three days after he decried the lack of civility in American politics, President Obama is quoted in a new book about his presidency referring to the Tea Party movement using a derogatory term with sexual connotations. In Jonathan Alter's "The Promise: President Obama, Year One," President Obama is quoted in an interview saying that the unanimous vote of House Republicans vote against the stimulus bills "set the tenor for the whole year ... That helped to create the tea-baggers and empowered that whole wing of the Republican Party to where it now controls the agenda for the Republicans." Tea Party activists loath the term "tea baggers," which has emerged in liberal media outlets and elsewhere as a method of mocking the activists and their concerns. On Saturday, the president delivered a commencement address at the University of Michigan where he said one way "to keep our democracy healthy is to maintain a basic level of civility in our public debate … But we can't expect to solve our problems if all we do is tear each other down."

There since Day One? Maybe not

To hear Obama administration officials tell it, they've been fully engaged on the Gulf Coast oil spill since Day One, bringing every resource to bear and able to ensure without question that taxpayers will be protected. Not quite. Take President Barack Obama's repeated claims that BP will be responsible for all the costs associated with the devastating spill that began after an oil rig operated by the company exploded April 20, killing 11 workers and later sinking. "Let me be clear: BP is responsible for this leak; BP will be paying the bill," Obama said while touring the area Sunday. While it's true that the federal Oil Pollution Act, enacted in 1990 in response to the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska, makes BP responsible for cleanup costs, the law caps the company's liability for economic damages — such as lost wages, shortened fishing seasons or lagging tourism — at $75 million, a pittance compared to potential losses. Administration officials insist BP will be held responsible anyway, noting that if the company is found negligent or criminally liable, the cap disappears. Claims also can potentially be made under other state or federal laws, officials said.

A Senate measure advertised as protecting taxpayers from another Wall Street bailout would still leave them fronting the money if the government moves to liquidate a big failing company like insurance giant AIG. Taxpayers could end up putting up billions of dollars to cover the costs of dealing with such a firm and be able to recoup that money only over a period of five years, under the Senate's sweeping overhaul of financial regulations. An amendment the Senate is expected to pass Tuesday states that "taxpayers shall bear no losses from the exercise of any authority under this title." Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill., says the legislation means: "We're never going to let the taxpayers and Treasury face this kind of obligation." But the measure doesn't prevent that kind of obligation, though it does require that taxpayers would be paid back. "The bill ensures taxpayers don't get stuck paying for Wall Street's mistakes," said Kirstin Brost, a Democratic spokeswoman for the Senate Banking Committee. The government would have top priority getting repaid, with proceeds of the sale of a liquidated firms' assets going to the government first.

Shutting Down Free Speech

Popular speech and political dissent have proved troublesome to President Barack Obama since the very beginning of his term in office. The Obama Administration began waging war on the minority of media outlets that did not worship at his altar immediately after he was sworn in. Just three days into his presidency Obama warned Congressional Republicans against listening to radio host Rush Limbaugh. In April, Obama responded to a sycophantic question from CBS news anchor Harry Smith by falsely claiming Limbaugh and Fox News commentator Glenn Beck labeled Obama a "Nazi." Obama responded by identifying as "troublesome" "this kind of vitriol." During the intervening 15 months, White House officials attempted to marginalize balanced news outlets such as the Fox News Channel by enlisting the support of the heretofore compliant news media. Fortunately, competing news outlets found the backbone -- if only temporarily -- to put the kibosh on Obama's attempts to blacklist FNC from the White House press pool. These heavy-handed actions, as well as worries about the Obama Administration reinstituting the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" for talk radio are small time when one considers what the government is capable of accomplishing if a handful of current proposals are enacted.

Barack Obama, the Insult Comic President, was up to his old shtick Saturday night. Breaking with presidential punch line tradition for the second consecutive year, Obama dropped zinger after zinger on his opponents and allies alike at the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner. Obama went all Don Rickles on a broad range of topics and individuals: Vice President Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, presidential advisers David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel, the news media, Jay Leno, and Republicans Michael Steele, Scott Brown, John McCain and Sarah Palin. Except for a mild joke pegged to his falling approval ratings, Obama mostly spared Obama during his 14-minute stand-up routine. Palin, he said, calls Twitter and Facebook "the socialized media." He dubbed Michael Steele, chairman of the Republican Party, "the Notorious G.O.P." The newly enacted health-care law, the president joked, has "hundreds" of secret provisions, such as one covering people in Massachusetts who've suffered "short-term memory loss" about the state's own efforts to reform health care. "So good news, Mitt!" Obama said of Republican critic and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. "Your condition is covered!"
